Chilean Federation of Industry

The Chilean Federation of Industry (SFF) is a non-profit trade association representing the views and interests of Chilean industry.

The SFF has 2,500 corporate affiliates and 37 sector association affiliates. There are regional affiliates in Arica, Antofagasta, Valparaíso, Curicó, Talca, Concepción, and Malleco - Cautín. Overall, SFF members account for 80 percent of Chile’s industrial output and 30% of the GDP.

The representative nature, political independence, solid principles, businesslike approach and prestige of its leaders have earned the SFF a place among the country’s most upstanding institutions.

The SFF has spoken for Chilean industry for over a century. Government, political, social and economic leaders give a respectful hearing to SFF views.

The SFF:

- Represents the views of industry to Government and Parliamen on proposed legislation, rules and regulations.

- Advises members on taxation, tariff, environmental, and statutory matters.

- Represents to government the views of industry on issues such as the streamlining of the state and assistance for small- and medium-sized businesses, especially in the regions.

- Supports the introduction of new technologies capable of building up long-term competitive advantages, including the use of the Internet for business purposes.
